Privacy

What we collect, what we don't.

Plain-English version of our privacy practices. Last updated October 6, 2026.

The short version

We collect the bare minimum needed to fulfill your order and run a small business. We don't sell your data, we don't run third-party ad pixels, and we don't share your information with anyone except the services we use to process payments and ship mushrooms.

What we collect

  • Order info. Name, email, phone, delivery address. Used to fulfill orders and contact you about deliveries.
  • Subscription info. Your chosen cadence, species, and (via Stripe) payment method. Stripe handles your card. We never see or store it.
  • Cart session. A short-lived cookie that remembers what's in your cart between page loads. Expires when you close the browser.
  • Server logs. Standard Hostinger access logs (IP, timestamp, page requested). Used only to debug issues; rotated regularly.

What we don't collect

  • No Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or other tracking scripts.
  • No cross-site behavioral profiles.
  • No selling, renting, or trading of your data. Ever.
  • No marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in (the Crew Newsletter is a separate, off-by-default checkbox).

Who we share data with

Just the vendors that make your order happen:

  • Stripe. Payment processing. Sees your card details, name, and email. Their privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.
  • Postmark (or similar). Transactional email (order confirmations, delivery notices). Sees your email and the email body.
  • Hostinger. Our hosting provider. Stores the database where your order history lives.

We don't share with anyone else. If a courier service or government request ever required us to, we'd narrow the response to the minimum data needed and we'd disclose the request in our next public update.

How long we keep it

  • Order records. Kept for 7 years for tax/accounting compliance.
  • Subscription records. Kept for as long as your subscription is active, plus 7 years after cancellation for the same reason.
  • Session cookies. Gone when you close the browser.
  • Server logs. Rotated every 30 days.

Your rights

You can:

  • See what we have on you. Email us and ask, we'll send a copy.
  • Have it deleted. Same. (We may need to retain order records for tax compliance, but anything beyond that goes.)
  • Cancel a subscription at any time from your Stripe Billing Portal.
  • Opt out of the (off-by-default) newsletter from any email.

Children

MotorSpores isn't for under-18s. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
